Rules & Regulations

  • Students and faculty members have to write their names and other particulars in the gate register kept at the entrance of the library.
  • Students should not carry any book or printed matter into the library. Only paper, pen or pencil may be taken in, for reference work.
  • Students can make use of the library facility to enrich their academic excellence.
  • Enrolled students and the teaching staff can use the library with valid ID Cards. No Ex-student or no outsider will be allowed to use the library.
  • Only enrolled students are allowed to enter the college library with a valid Identity Card.
  • Strict silence must be maintained in & near the library.
  • Students should not bring any eatables inside the library.
  • Books are not to be taken out of the library on any account. Infringement of this rule will make the defaulter liable to automatic forfeiture of the Identity Card.
  • In case of violating the library rules, they will be subject to strict disciplinary action.
  • The co-operation of the students is earnestly sought in observing the rules.

HOME LENDING

  • Library books will be issued to the students for home lending only for 15 days.
  • One book will be issued for home lending using the library card.
  • Reference books, issues of periodicals, magazines, and newspapers will not be allowed out of the library or for home lending.
  • The book issued for home lending must be returned to the library within 15 days. A levy of rupees 1/- will be charged for every day of delay
  • The book may be issued for 15 days provided can be extended if there is no demand for the book that can be renewed for another 2 weeks.
  • Book newly acquired will be available for reading in the library only.

BOOKS DAMAGED OR LOST OR TORN PAGES

  • Books should be handled with care. Readers writing or marking on any book, periodical or map are strictly prohibited. 
  • At the time the book is issued for reading for home lending, the Readers must check that the book is not damaged or that the pages are not missing or torn, it must be brought to the notice of the library staff. Otherwise, they will be responsible for any damage, loss or torn pages.
  • If the book is lost or damaged by the students or if the pages are missing from the book, the value of the book’s price to be paid and the amount will be decided by the Librarian.

LIBRARY CIRCULATION RULES

  • A number of books allowed to various members:
  • Graduate Students : 3 book
  • Post Graduate Students : 3 books
  • M.Phil: 4 books
  • Faculty: 6 books
  • Guest Faculty: 4 books
  • Non-teaching staff: 2 books
