DEPARTMENT PROFILE
The Department of Information Technology was established in 2000-2001. Next, we introduced M.Sc. Information Technology in the year 2007-2008. Our department facilitates academic excellence, innovations in problem-solving, research attitude and project development. Our Undergraduate programme in Information Technology focuses on training in a wide spectrum from core areas to emerging technologies by academic and industry experts. Our Postgraduate programmes emphasize Research and Specialization in current trends of Computing and work experience in the IT industry through six months of Internship and Project Work in the last semester. Department has progressed over the years in academics, placements and internships with the dedicated efforts of well-qualified and experienced faculties. Our students have excelled as software engineers, innovators and researchers in various IT domains of global competence. Many of our students are placed in leading IT companies. Under Autonomy, we have included the most recent domains in our syllabus to bridge the gap between IT industry and academia. We have the infrastructure with dedicated laboratories and libraries for UG and PG. All laboratories have high configuration systems and good quality internet connection.
